Ripley's Story

Ripley is an adorable 4-year-old spayed girl weighing just under 40 pounds, making her the perfect medium-sized companion. She already knows her basic commands, has a sweet face that's impossible to resist, and is ready to find someone she can devote her whole heart to. One of Ripley's best qualities is her calm, quiet nature. She's not a high-energy dog and would much rather spend her time relaxing with her favorite people than bouncing off the walls. Ripley is the kind of dog who forms deep bonds with her people and would make an incredibly loyal companion. She has some territorial tendencies, including resource guarding, so we believe she will be happiest and most successful as the only dog in a home with older children or adults only. Providing her with clear boundaries and a consistent routine will help her continue to flourish. Ripley passed her on-leash cat test, though she did show signs that she may be tempted to chase a running cat, so any introductions to feline friends should be made thoughtfully. She's also learning the leash, currently lacking confidence.
