Ripley's Story
Ripley's life hasn't always been easy, but he's ready to leave the past behind and step into a future full of love. This sweet boy was left at a local shelter, abandoned and understandably nervous about everything around him. When he came to our rescue he was thin, head-shy, and covered in fleas...a clear sign he had likely spent a lot of time outdoors. But don't worry he's come a long way since then and his resilient, loving personality is shining through!

Ripley is a "pirate-pup" because he sports a permanent wink thanks to an atrophied left eye, which either didn't develop fully or may have been the result of an old injury. Either way, it doesn't slow him down one bit! He navigates the world just fine and honestly it only adds to his charm.

This 4-year-old, 22 pound sweetheart is smart, playful, and highly food-motivated, which makes training (with treats!!) extra fun. He loves going on walks, exploring new sights and smells, and, most of all, spending time with his people. He's still a little cautious with new faces, but with patience, gentle encouragement, and a few tasty treats, he warms up quickly and will become your devoted sidekick.

Ripley does well with mellow dogs and would thrive in a calm, semi-active home where he can enjoy quiet moments as much as playtime adventures. He's not a fan of chaos, but he absolutely adores human companionship, belly rubs, and just being near the people he trusts. He's smart, silly, and full of heart - a little pirate with a wink for everyone he meets! He's ready to embrace a forever home where he'll never have to worry about being abandoned again. Could that home be with you? Please inquire today!
