Rip's Story

Rip is a 2-year-old, 80-pound chocolate Lab who came into rescue after his beloved owner sadly passed away. His world changed overnight, and now he’s looking for the right person to give him stability, structure, and a second chance.
Rip is fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all monthly preventatives, so he’s ready to go home with the right adopter.
Rip is a very strong dog and will need an experienced handler who understands confident, powerful dogs and can provide consistent leadership. He has shown reactivity toward other dogs—especially small dogs—and has a very strong prey drive, so he must be the only pet in the home. For everyone’s safety, homes with small children or other dogs are not a good fit for Rip.

••Adoption Requirements for Rip:
• Experienced dog owner/handler
• No small children
• No other dogs or small animals
• Secure fenced yard – absolutely no exceptions!!!

Rip isn’t the right dog for every home, but with the right person who understands his needs, he has the potential to be an incredibly loyal companion.
Rip is available for adoption through A Better Life Rescue.
