Rip's Story
Say hello to Rip, a stunning 10-month old Rough Collie/Border Collie mix who is sensitive and full of love. With his soulful eyes and gentle personality, Rip is a dog who bonds deeply and needs to feel safe, connected, and loved. Rip is 43 pounds, and will likely remain around 45 pounds when fully grown.

Rip came to us with his brother Duke, who is also available for adoption. Rip will need to be placed with another confident dog in the home as he looks to other dogs for guidance and emotional support, which helps him feel secure and calm. While they don't need to be adopted together, Rip and Duke are a wonderful pair, and would love to be adopted together if possible.

Like his brother, Rip loves people of all ages, and is always ready to snuggle and give hugs. He's great with other dogs and is good with dog-savvy cats. Rip is more mellow than Duke, but is a young, active dog needing lots of exercise. He listens well, has great recall, and settles nicely in the house or vehicle. He's potty trained and learning leash and crate training.

Rip does experience separation anxiety if left alone without his people or familiar canine companion, so he’s looking for a family who is home more often, or able to take him to work, to continue building his confidence with patience, training, routine, and love. An active family with another dog companion will make a big difference in his success and happiness.

Rip is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated, so he is ready to go home with his new family. He's playful, intelligent, and eager to please — he just needs the right family and environment to thrive. Rip is ready for his forever home with his brother Duke, or another friendly dog who can be his buddy.

If you have room in your heart and home for a sensitive and devoted boy like Rip, please reach out.

Send us a message or call 307.360.6000 to schedule a meet-and-greet! ???
