Rip 3/29/2026 *Pending Adoption*'s Story
*He was hit by a car a few months ago and is still recovery. He will not be adopted out until he has completely recovered.*
**Located in Cedar Rapids**
Meet Rip - a 3-year-old, 80-pound black and tan German Shepherd with a heart as big as he is.

Rip is the definition of a gentle giant. He absolutely adores people, kids, dogs, and especially cats - in fact, he could spend all day happily watching them or gently trying to play. He's currently recovering from surgery and on activity restrictions, but even with limited freedom, his playful and loving personality shines through. He's ready to get back to being a dog again!

Rip is kennel and potty trained, rides well in the car, and has been wonderful in his foster home. Outside, he ignores neighborhood commotion and takes things in stride. While he may not know many commands yet, he's eager for love, attention, and a family to call his own.

If you're looking for a sweet, loyal companion who just wants to be close to his people (and maybe some cats too), Rip may be your perfect match.
