RIOJA's Story
Rioja has had quite the amazing glow up! From arriving as a very scared mom with 8 puppies, too scared to walk on a leash and incredibly shut down this girl has come a long way. She now walks nicely on leash, is learning to love and trust human attention and is even working on learning some commands. She does well with other dogs of all sizes and would love a home with a doggy sibling! She is getting some TLC in foster with several other dogs but is ready to continue to build onto her confidence and trust in a forever home. If that sounds like you, please come visit at the shelter or email animal.care@ventura.org with “Rioja A868837“ as the subject line. Rescue groups can inquire by reaching out to vcar.rescue@ventura.org.
