Rio American Bulldog & Boxer Mix Dillsburg, PA

Are you looking for a dog that will provide you endless entertainment and love you unconditionally? Look no further! Rio is such a fun dog and always makes the volunteers laugh. Rio was surrendered to us with his brother, Bear, in April. Both boys are ready to get their own families so they can each get the love and attention they are craving!

If you’re looking for a giant cuddle bug, Rio is perfect. He may be a big dog, but once he gets to know you, he becomes a lap dog. Rio’s perfect day includes rolling in the grass and running around. He loves to be the center of attention and would be best as an only child. He is eager to learn and extremely food motivated. Rio is shy with strangers, but will warm up as people get to know him.

Rio understands basic commands. And though he can’t talk, he will watch you and smile at you as you talk about your day. He is an athletic dog and could walk for miles. He’s good in the car and loves to have head scratches when he shoves his head between the drivers and passengers seat. He is also an extremely photogenic dog and will pose for any camera. Rio loves to explore and go with you on your adventures. He has a high prey-drive and loves to watch rabbits and cats from afar. He also has a lot to say and would make a fantastic alert dog. Rio would do best with a fenced in yard and dog savvy people to love him.

Rio would do well in a home with older children that are dog savvy - he is a big boy and may accidentally knock small children over. With his high prey drive - he would prefer to be your one and only pet. Rio is both house AND crate trained.
