Ringo

Ringo's life took a turn for the worse when his owner passed away. But we know a new chapter for Ringo lies ahead!

Here's everything we know about Ringo, after taking care of him for the last 6 weeks:
1) He is sweet, friendly, cuddly and full of love. He is a people dog!
2) He loves, loves, loves to play fetch - so if you've got a few extra hours for that, he's ready!
3) He has tail wags and greetings for all our other dogs and all people, including grandchildren.
4) He will let you pick up his toys and his food without reacting - even his Milk Bone. Lovely disposition.
5) He has an extremely strong prey drive - he will chase anything that moves. He is NOT recommended for a home with cats, chickens, hamsters, birds, or guinea pigs. We haven't had a chance yet to test him with truly small dogs, so caution with the teeny-tiny woofies would be advised until the facts are known.
6) He is good on the leash and will get better. He pulls a bit but is smart and eager to please; he's already learned the sit command and is a good boy for training.
7) We don't know for sure that he is house-trained but he absolutely refuses to do his business inside his 10x20 kennel. He insists on being walked or being inside the play yard before he will get down to it - a very strong positive.
8 ) He does look amazingly like Petey from the Little Rascals or the Victrola stereo mascot, as more than one person at FJCAS has pointed out! He's just adorable.
Ringo has had a full vet check, is healthy and sound, and is already on heartworm and flea/tick preventives. The vet estimates he is about 2 years old. He weighs 60 lbs and isn't likely to get bigger.

This sweet boy is a once-in-a-lifetime companion just waiting for his special person. If youve been dreaming of a guy like Ringo, please let us hear from you!
