Ringo's Story
Meet Ringo

If you've ever wished for a dog with a cat's personality, Ringo might be your perfect match.

Ringo is a 9-year-old, 17-pound Terrier mix from New York City who enjoys life's simple pleasures: long walks, cozy naps, tasty treats, and the company of people he trusts.

He's the kind of dog who likes to take his time getting to know someone. Ringo won't be climbing into your lap five minutes after you meet him, and that's part of what makes earning his trust so special. Give him a little patience, a few treats, and the space to settle in, and you'll watch his affectionate, silly personality slowly emerge.

Once you're part of Ringo's circle, he's incredibly loyal. He loves relaxing nearby while you work, following you from room to room, curling up beside you at the end of the day, and quietly enjoying life together. He's affectionate on his own terms, making every cuddle feel that much more meaningful.

Ringo absolutely loves his walks. Exploring the neighborhood is the highlight of his day, and while he may start out with a little excitement, he quickly settles into an easy, enjoyable pace. He's also food motivated, knows “sit,” and is both house-trained and pee pad trained.

One of Ringo's favorite possessions is his oversized flower pillow, which he proudly carries around the house like it's his prized treasure. It's impossible not to smile when you see him showing it off.

At home, Ringo enjoys having a cozy space that's all his own. Whether he's relaxing in his favorite bed or quietly observing the world around him, he's wonderfully independent while still enjoying the comfort of being near his people.

Ringo is looking for a calm home with adopters who understand that the best relationships don't have to be rushed. He'd do well as an only dog or with another respectful dog and would likely thrive in a quieter household with older children who understand his boundaries.

Some dogs love everyone they meet.

Ringo chooses his people carefully and when he chooses you, it's something truly special.

Vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, bordetella, spayed/neutered and microchipped. Heartworm negative and current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.

To apply to adopt Ringo, visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for an application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the dog is on our website, they are still available.

Waggytail Rescue CANNOT guarantee the exact age or breed of any adoptable dog, or final size of any of our adoptable puppies. We rely on the information provided to us by veterinarians, shelters, owner surrenders and other circumstances bringing the dog into our rescue.

Questions: adopt@waggytailrescue.org
