Meet Riley!<br/><br/>Riley is a 6-7 month old Hound/Terrier mix-or at least that's our best guess. As with many shelter dogs, his family tree is a bit of a mystery. What we do know is that Riley is a very sweet young dog who deserves a chance at a better future.<br/><br/>Riley was picked up by Animal Control and, sadly, no one ever came looking for him. Now he finds himself trying to navigate the shelter environment, which can be an overwhelming place for a sensitive young pup. By nature, Riley is a little bashful and timid, but behind those cautious eyes is a dog who desperately wants to connect with people. He loves gentle attention and is eager to build trust with someone willing to give him the time and patience he needs.<br/><br/>Like many puppies who may have missed out on some early socialization, Riley is still learning that the world isn't such a scary place. He'll benefit from continued positive experiences, encouragement, and training as he grows into the confident companion we know he can be.<br/><br/>Riley is still just a puppy with his whole life ahead of him. What he needs most right now is a family willing to see past his shyness and help him discover how wonderful life can be.
