Rikki's Story

*Woof* I'm in a foster home! Email my foster caregiver to meet me: s.lummis17@gmail.com.

Rikki is a shy, but sweet puppy. She loves learning new commands, playing tug of war, and can keep herself entertained chasing her tail and playing with tennis balls. She's fearful of going outside (especially in a city setting) and meeting new people, so she'll need patient adopters who can help her gain confidence as she grows. In her current foster home, she lives with two other dogs and she's been willing to follow them around and spend more time outside. She would do great in a home with a doggy friend or two who like to play. She also spent time in a foster home with a cat and did great with that as well!

Rikki is potty trained on pee pads, and now that she is going outside more confidently, she goes to the bathroom mostly outside. She sleeps in her crate through the night and has only had a few nights where she had to be let out to go potty early in the morning. When she's left alone in her crate, she usually cries for a minute or two, then settles down and she can be left alone for a few hours. She shows no signs of resource guarding, but she loves to happily share whatever her doggy pals are playing with. She is not a barker and she loves to cuddle up with her trusted people under a warm blanket.
