Riggs's Story

PLEASE READ FULLY BEFORE INQUIRING – WE RESPOND FIRST TO THOSE WHO PUT IN AN ADOPTION APPLICATION

RIGGS IS CURRENTLY FOSTERED NEAR CEDAR RAPIDS/WATERLOO, IOWA.

Riggs was an owner surrender, and a friend of the rescue reached out to make sure he got the second chance he deserved. Thankfully, Riggs is now safe in foster care and ready to find a loving forever home.

Riggs is a sweet, adorable, and spunky puppy who seems to love just about everything. He does great with kids, dogs, and cats and has adjusted well to life in a home. Riggs is doing very well with potty training and will go right from his crate to the door to potty outside. He is also crate trained, though he may cry for a few minutes before settling down. Riggs walks well on a leash and already knows how to sit. He’s playful, affectionate, and full of personality—and hopefully one day he grows into those adorable ears!

Adoption Information: All puppies have typical energy levels and require a dedicated adopter who is willing to invest time and effort into training. While we strive to start the potty-training process, please keep in mind that puppies this age are not guaranteed to be fully house trained. This is an excellent age to introduce him to children and other animals, as early socialization is key to his development!

Riggs will be adopted under a neuter contract, with an adoption fee of $500. $100 of this fee will be reimbursed upon proof of neuter. He is up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, on monthly preventative, dewormed, and microchipped.

If you’re interested in giving Riggs his forever home, please complete our adoption application linked below.
