Riff Raff *tri-pawd*'s Story

Meet Riff Raff! Riff Raff is approximately 3 years old and 58 lbs currently and he likely has some Hound in his mix. Riff Raff's story is heartbreaking. He was roaming and going up to cars and poking his head in saying "take me home" until he got hit by a car and had to be stitched up and have his leg amputated. He has now recovered and is ready for his forever home. In his foster home, he is doing great with his house training, but needs help with crate training and leash walking. He could join households with kids, and other dogs.<br/><br/>His foster says, "Riff Raff is truly a gentle giant. He moves easily through the house. Rarely barks. Takes treats from your hand gently. Loves being outside in the yard. He wrestles and plays chase with the other 5 dogs currently in my home. He seems to try to match the energy of my other foster puppy then is very calm when playing with one of the senior dogs. He doesn’t appear to have much experience with a leash so we are walking around the fenced-in area with the leash on some to get him more accustomed to the leash. Riff Raff spent weeks in a kennel at the vets office due to leg amputation and doesn’t want to go in a kennel willingly at the moment. He sleeps on a plush rug in the living room at night with no issues. No accidents in the house at all so far. He is going to make someone a very easy-to-care for companion."<br/><br/>He is available for adoption by appointment in Hopkinton, MA.
