Ricotta (Rue)<br/><br/>Ricotta is a 3-year-old black mouth cur/lab mix with the most beautiful, unique coat. This sweet mama was found as a stray in Texas alongside of her puppies. Ricotta is just the best pup with the most wonderfully gentle and easygoing personality. She is energetic when you are, while also being lazy when you are, as she follows your vibe. She is quiet, even when in her kennel. And thanks to her excellent house manners, she can be left unsupervised and is a respectful house guest. Ricotta loves lounging and showing her lazy side, but don't let her calm demeanor fool you because when it's time to go outside she is always ready to run around and be active!<br/><br/>Since Ricotta has joined her foster home, she has befriended the fellow dog in the house and would happily spend all day playing with them if she could. She's still learning to respect the other dogs play boundaries and occasionally needs a reminder to not play as rough, but has never shown any aggressiveness. Because of this, Ricotta would thrive in a home with another playful dog. She has also been enjoying daily walks with her foster and is making great progress with her leash manners.<br/><br/>Ricotta can be a little hesitant around a select few males upon meeting them for the first time, but with a few treats, patience, and kindness, she quickly warms up and will be your best friend. She has been sleeping in her kennel during bedtime, and remains quiet throughout the night with no noises made.
