Meet Rico — Jolly’s Tiny Best Friend! We recently shared the story of Jolly, the cute pittie girl who arrived with her stray friend after showing up on their finder’s deck and spending the night in a garage until they were brought to us. Now it’s time to introduce her little companion: Rico. This 9 pound cutie was Jolly’s stray mate, and these two got along wonderfully. Jolly found her forever home on her first day on the adoption floor, and now it’s Rico’s turn. Although we know he and Jolly did great together, we still recommend meet and greets with other dogs and children to ensure a perfect match. There is no application required to adopt. The only way to meet Rico or learn more is to visit us in person when we open tomorrow. When a dog like this becomes available, it’s not unusual for adopters to arrive early. If you come before opening, please line up at the Adoption Lobby door. You are welcome to bring a chair or anything that helps you stay comfortable while waiting. We are a first come, first served, in person adoption center located at: 430 Bristol Drive, Statesville Adoption Hours: Monday–Friday: 12–5 pm Saturday: 11 am–2 pm The adoption fee is $80. All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age appropriate vaccines and preventatives. Adopters will need to establish veterinary care after adoption.
