Ricky's Story

Ricky is a sweet boy with a sad story. He was originally adopted when he was just a young pup. Returned when he was around 9 months old, Ricky is now 3 years old and has spent most of his life growing up at UCC. With us for almost 2 years now, Ricky is a fun energetic pup who is very affectionate and whos personality is always on the go. We affectionately call him Ricky Bobby. Rick loves running around the play yards, playing with toys and making dog friends. He has a rough and tumble play style and does best when socializing with tolerant dogs of the same play style. Rick knows some basic commands, walks well on leash but is strong, is crate trained and house broken once of routine. (he may need positive encouragement in this area due to being in the kennels so long).
Ricky is social with other dogs, but would do best in a home as a single dog. Unfortunately Rick cannot share his home with cats or small animals of any kind.
That being said Ricky does great with all people of all ages, durable children past the toddler stage is best. Ricky is smart, has a go with the flow personality and deserves a home that that will help him thrive. We love Ricky and we know you will too. He has such a big heart let him love you! If you are considering opening your heart and home to a UCC dog in need please consider Ricky he needs it the most!!!! <3
If you are interested in adopting a UCC dog in need please visit our website www.ulstercountycanines.com to submit an adoption application.
UCC offers discounted access to after adoption services for our adopted alumni such as: Dog boarding, Day Care, Free access to our Private Dog Park, Low Cost Veterinary Wellness Vaccine Clinic and more!!
Please read through our website prior to the application for information on adoption fees, who we are what we do and how you can help!!!
