Ricky -ADOPTED!'s Story
- NO UNFENCED INGROUND POOLS
- NO DOGGIE DOORS
- NEEDS A SECURE 6' MINIMUM FENCED YARD AND SINGLE FAMILY HOME.
- NO APTS

Estimated DOB: 8/28/2020
Weight: 12#

A fellow rescuer saw Ricky chasing after a car. She got him safe and followed after the car and confronted the owner. They said that they didn't want him and to keep him.

Poor little Ricky is a doll and was owner abandoned through no fault of his own. He's a sweet, happy, playful boy. He loves to snuggle and sleep in the bed. He is also crate trained. But would prefer to be hanging out on the sofa.

He looks just like a minpin with shorter legs and a natural tail and has a gorgeous clear red coat. He might have some chihuahua mixed in. No way to know without doing a dna test.

He's been neutered, vaccinated, is heartworm negative etc.

He would love to find a new owner that will never abandon him. A dog is a life time commitment, not a thing of convenience. He would be ok as an only dog. But he would also love another doggie buddy to play and snuggle with. He needs a single family home with a secure 6' minimum fenced yard. He can and will jump anything shorter. He loves walks. But is too leash reactive for apt or communal type living situations. He literally barks at everyone and everything when on a walk. Luckily I am in a pretty quiet neighborhood. So it is just a mild annoyance and pulling a barking little man away from the distractions. Leash reactivity is always something that you can work and train with if your schedule permits. That is the only semi bad thing that I can say about him. He's otherwise a great little man in all other aspects and his previous owners didn't deserve his loyalty.

If you are interested in adopting, please cut and paste the link below to fill out an adoption application:

https://form.jotform.com/92916416469165

After the application is processed and approved, a home visit and meet and greet with the dogs will be scheduled. If there are any fencing issues, make sure that repairs are done prior to the home visit. MinPins are natural escape artists! Typically, the adoption is finalized the day after the home visit and meet and greet. Out of area adopters would need to drive/fly in to meet the dogs and adopt.
