Ricky's Story

AN INQUIRY FROM PETFINDER IS NOT AN APPLICATION! READ THE ENTIRE POST FOR INFORMATION HOW TO APPLY.

Meet Ricky! Ricky is a 1 year old male Pomeranian and he weighs about 9 pounds. Ricky arrived in rescue after coming from a puppy mill in a rural area during winter. He has settled into foster care nicely and has been loving learning how to "dog". His foster mom says: Ricky has been a joy to have in our home as a foster dog. He is a very playful pup who loves his toys. He gets along great with our cat and we think our cat actually enjoys him! Outdoor potty training is a work in progress, but he is catching on to how that whole thing works. We have an aluminum fence with pickets and he quickly figured out that it was a game to escape through the fence. A more secure fenced yard will be a must for him. He is learning to walk on a leash, but currently it is not his favorite. He has not been a big barker, but he will bark when his human is out of sight. He settles down quickly, but no shared walls would be best for him. He has been around other dogs of his size or smaller and loves to play with dog friends. He also has met lots of our family members and is excited to meet them and get more pets from them.

Ricky is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped and has had his teeth cleaned!

Ricky is fostered in the Orlando area and his adoption donation is $475. If you are interested in applying to adopt Ricky, please visit www.floridalittledogrescue.com to read the adoption process and complete an application! Please note that emails simply asking "Is this dog available" will not be returned, as applications are worked in the order received and availability largely depends on when you apply:) Please also know we do not adopt out of state! Thank you!
