At just 8 pounds, this little guy is the perfect size for cuddling and would love nothing more than to have a special person or family to call his own. Poodles are known for being intelligent and eager to learn, and we expect Ricky will pick up new commands and routines as he settles into his new surroundings. Like many dogs who have experienced change, he may need a little time to feel safe and secure. But once Ricky knows he is in a loving and caring home, we believe he will begin to open up and form that special bond with his people. Poodles thrive on attention and affection, and Ricky deserves plenty of both! If you have room in your heart and home for a sweet little companion who is ready to discover the joys of being someone's beloved buddy, please consider Ricky.
Apply today—he could be the little best friend you never knew you needed!

Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.

Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.

Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
