Ricky's Story
*SPECIAL NEEDS BABY*
Meet Ricky!

Ricky is a 5 month old mixed cattle dog lab mixed puppy with a big heart, an even bigger personality. He is about 25 pounds already and is expected to be a large dog when fully grownālikely in the 70ā90 pound range.

Ricky is the ultimate Velcro puppy. He lives to be close to his people and will happily climb right into your lap and completely melt into you. Being held is his favorite thing.

Heās also a playful, happy pup who enjoys chew toys and a good game of tug-of-war. He is learning his manners, is food motivated and a super smart boy. Heās doing wonderful with crate training and making great progress with potty training

Ricky loves dogs and keeps up great with his foster siblings. He loves people and kids and is very affectionate.

Ricky does have some āwonkyā legs due to Angular Limb Deformity (ALD), where the bones grow a bit unevenly, causing them to appear slightly twisted or shortened. He was born with this deformity but it doesnāt slow him down! He gets around just fine, plays normally, and doesnāt let it affect his happy, loving spirit. He has been evaluated by doctors at our sister organization and they said that since he doesn't appear to be in pain surgery is not needed. He may suffer from some arthritis down the line but otherwise he is just a little "wonky" and perfect just the way he is.

If your interested in adopting this sweet special guy please email us at southernpawsrescue@gmail.com
