Unfortunately, the damage was irreparable, and his leg had to be amputated. <br/><br/>Thanks to a partner shelter in Virginia, Ricky got a second chance and was brought to PWD to complete his recovery and find his forever home.<br/><br/>Now fully healed, Ricky is ready for the next chapter of his life! He embodies a playful yet quiet demeanor, true to his classic hound personality. <br/><br/>He gets along well with other dogs and enjoys running in the yard with his PWD canine friends. <br/><br/>We believe Ricky will be a wonderful, easygoing addition to any family.

Pets with Disabilities's Adoption Policy
Our adoption process begins by completing our adoption application which can be found on our website (www.petswithdisabilities.org), include a few pictures of your home inside and outside. After review we will set up and appointment at our rescue for you and your current pets to meet and greet the pet of interest. If all goes smooth and we feel that your home and family would be a good fit for the pet of interest, a home visit with pet delivery will be scheduled where a final adoption contract will be issued transferring guardianship from us to you, it will also include all vet records. Our adoption fee is 400.00.
