Rhodes's Story

Meet Rhodes 💙

Rhodes is a striking brindle mix, about 2½ years old and 48 pounds, with a heart every bit as strong as his story.

Last August, Rhodes was hit by a car and no owner ever came forward. His front left leg had to be amputated — but Rhodes never let that slow him down. He moves confidently, walks beautifully on a leash, loves exploring the woods, and is always ready for a car ride adventure.

He’s deeply people-oriented (of all ages) and happiest curled up beside his humans on the couch with his favorite stuffed lamb nearby. Rhodes is house-trained, gentle, playful, and past all the puppy chaos. He truly just wants to be loved and included.

Rhodes was recently returned through no fault of his own. After living in a home, it became clear there was a lot of jealousy and competition between him and the other dog in the household. Because of this, we think Rhodes would do best either as the only dog soaking up all the attention or with the right easygoing match.

He’s adaptable, affectionate, resilient, and simply a very good boy who deserves a forever family willing to give him the second chance he’s fought so hard for.

📞 Interested in Rhodes?
