Rhett's Story

Meet Rhett!

Rhett is an almost 8-month-old, 43 lb mixed-breed pup who has been waiting for his forever family since the beginning of May.

Rhett came to the shelter with his sister, Hollis. While these siblings share a birthday and love spending time together, they do not need to be adopted as a pair. Rhett is more than ready to branch out and find a family of his very own.

This handsome boy is playful, outgoing, and loves making friends. He gets along well with other dogs, has done great with children, and enjoys being around people. He currently shares kennel space with other dogs and seems to think just about everything is more fun when you have a friend along for the adventure.

Rhett especially enjoys playing, splashing around in the water, spending time with his canine buddies, and soaking up attention from his people.

At less than a year old, Rhett is still a young dog with plenty of growing and learning ahead of him. He would love a family who will provide continued training, exercise, new experiences, and plenty of opportunities to play.

After spending much of his puppyhood in a shelter, Rhett is ready for all the things he’s been missing: backyard adventures, a comfortable bed, plenty of attention, and people to call his own.

If you’re looking for a friendly, social young dog who loves people and canine companions, come meet Rhett. He’s ready to start growing up somewhere other than the shelter.
