Meet our boy Rex who is aged at 3-5 years old. Rex has had a bad life his whole life :( He had entropion that was never treated which causes significant eye pain as the lashes rub the eye. He was found as a stray in Albany by an addict who got incarcerated and was given to homeless people who were squatting with him in an apartment with no electricity. Well that all changed when one of our volunteers found him at Home Depot. Shelters were all full so he joined us. He is living in a home with several dogs and a cat. He loves to lounge around all day and to some could be considered lazy. This is a great trait for some non active dog owners. He had his eyes fixed, received all of his vaccines & got neutered! He tested positive for Lyme disease and is being treated for it. He has no symptoms. He had a large mass on his chest that was also removed and sadly came back as a mass cell tumor (which is a cancerous tumor). Thank god the margins were clean and the tumor is gone. This should not detour anyone from adopting him. We are doing a final work up to be sure he is free of cancer. Please consider adding this boy to your home if he is a dog you are interested in.
