A happy-go-lucky Goldendoodle looking for a forever family to help and adore me during these next stages of my life. I am five-years-old, neutered, 45-pounds, and visually impaired. It has not been an easy transition suddenly losing my vision. It was quite confusing for me when I started bumping into things, and then later, really started bumping into things. The eye specialist explained its called SARDS, which stands for Sudden Acquired Retinal Degeneration Syndrome, a condition that causes rapid and irreversible blindness in dogs. I’m sure you can imagine how difficult it is to one day be healthy bouncing around without a care in the world, to the next day being almost in darkness. While that sounds stark, I’m not letting it get me down!! I’ve got a glass-is-overflowing attitude and I’ve made the best of my situation. I’m learning to navigate better and slowly becoming more comfortable with my surroundings. My ideal forever family will be patient and supportive in helping me navigate a new home, which should have minimal stairs and organized in a way that sets me up for success. For instance, if there’s a couple steps going outside, setting up a ramp is really easy to do. Little things like that make a big difference to me! You should know I get daily eye drops that may be ongoing throughout my life. Other than that, I’m a very healthy boy! I LOVE socializing and being around people or other dogs, going on walks, or being outside palling around. I’m very well behaved and have a gentle and spirited disposition. Give me your attention and I’ll give you my heart! A best friend for life would be my wish come true!!

If you live in the Los Angeles Metropolitan area and would like to meet Rex, please complete our online Adoption Application and we will be in touch. **Please note we primarily adopt in Los Angeles County and you must be at least 25-years-old.**

Adoption Application: https://www.beoplesbuddies.org/adoption-application

Visit our website to learn more about our foster-to-adopt process: www.beoplesbuddies.org

Please no calls.
