You must fill out an application online as we do NOT accept applications at our clinics.<br/><br/>Rex is a sweet, smart 4-month-old Lab/Retriever/Shepherd mix who is already showing what an incredible companion he can be. After a tough start in Tennessee, he has embraced the sunshine and love of his new New York foster home, and in just 24 hours his personality is shining through.<br/><br/>Rex is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. He is about 35 pounds will be a medium to large dog (we think!). Rex is a true people pleaser who wants attention, affection, and ear rubs from everyone he meets. He arrived eager to jump up for love, but after just one day of practicing “down,” he is already gently sitting most of the time and waiting politely for attention. He is very smart, food motivated, and a quick learner, which should make training both fun and rewarding.<br/><br/>This handsome boy walks beautifully on leash, slept through the night in his crate on his very first night, and is quickly learning that potty belongs outside. He is still a skinny pup and will need to put on a few pounds with your love and care.<br/><br/>Rex gets along great with his foster family’s dog and is excited to meet friends and neighbors on walks. He would likely thrive with basic puppy classes and a family ready to give him structure, training, and plenty of affection. Rex has all the makings of a wonderful family dog, hiking buddy, and adventure companion.<br/><br/>Apply for Rex today and spend the summer with your new best friend!<br/><br/>Our adoption clinics are held one Saturday a month at our facility in Schenectady on John Street, located directly behind Boulevard Bowl (Erie Boulevard) from 10 am to 12 pm (directions are on our website). We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email invitation to attend an adoption event. Different dogs and puppies go up for adoption EVERY WEEK so please feel free to visit the site and click on the Petfinder link for updates as we are adopting dogs out in between adoption events. Puppies and dogs up to 2 years old are $395. Dogs over 2 years old are $295. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
