Can you believe this dog was found tied to a tree at Quarry Park? He had food, water, and even a treat left with him, but it still breaks our hearts that he was abandoned this way.<br/><br/>We're guessing his old name may have sounded like "Max." We always try to figure out if our strays know their names by rattling off common ones, and this guy's head whipped right around when we said it. Or maybe he thought he heard "snacks" and got excited, which honestly, same.<br/><br/>Now called Rex, this handsome boy has plenty of energy to spare! Like many shelter dogs, he can be a little amped up around all the kennel commotion, but once he gets out for a walk and away from the noise, he settles down nicely.<br/><br/>Rex is available for foster or adoption!
