Rex (A142247) is a 4-year-old hound mix who weighed nearly 50 pounds at intake! 08/15/26 This handsome but shy guy is Rex! Rex arrived at the shelter as a stray and was consequently surrendered to the shelter. This is Rex's second time through the shelter as a stray, so his next home should make sure to keep him well-contained. Rex has proven to be a little shy when at the shelter. He is looking for a patient home that will let him come out of his shell on his own terms. We do not know Rex's history with other animals or children, so please use caution and make sure to do slow introductions. He has kept his kennel clean while at the shelter, indicating he may be housebroken. Rex does have sensitive ears and skin and will need to be on a sensitive skin diet long term to keep him comfortable. It may also benefit him to receive weekly baths with a sensitive skin shampoo, such as Duoxo S3.
