Resin's Story

Resin is in a foster home. If you would like to meet him, please start by visiting www.sccrescue.org and completing an application.

Resin is a truly special dog with a heart full of love. He’s what many would call a “velcro dog,” happiest when he’s right by your side and soaking up all the attention he can get. Around 11 years old, he loves being touched, is calm and affectionate, and has a gentle, kind nature that makes him an easy companion to have around. Resin is also fully house trained and settles into a routine quickly.

In his foster home, Resin does well overall in his crate (he may take a few minutes to settle) and rarely barks. He’s content lounging on the couch when you’re home and relaxes easily. While he’s still learning basic commands, he’s eager to please and thrives on being close to his person. On walks, he does best with a harness since he’s strong, and he may chase small animals if given the chance.

Resin would do best in a calm, loving home where he can feel safe and secure. He can be sensitive to raised voices and may shut down if there’s yelling, so a patient, gentle environment will help him shine. With his incredibly sweet and loyal personality, Resin is the kind of dog who will quickly become a devoted best friend.

We love our dogs. We want happy lives for all of them and are looking for the home that provides the best fit for each dog’s individual needs. Please understand that there may be multiple families interested in this dog.

Also, please know that the breed mix listed is simply a guess. In most cases, we don’t know their background. We encourage you to base your decision on individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on our guess.

Please understand, we only adopt our animals out near the Chicagoland area. Questions? Email us at adoptions@sccrescue.org. Hope to see you become part of the SCCR family!
