He was skin and bones and barley alive. He was taken in to be seen by a vet and it was discovered that he had Parvo. It was very touch and go for Pete and we were not sure if he would survive. Miraculously Pete made it through! He had 2 weeks of constant vet care followed by 2 more weeks of medical foster care before being able to join the rescue and socialize with friends. As Pete has gained is strength and his health he began to play with friends and learn how to socialize. He has proven to be a little ball of energy but SO smart! He did 2 weeks in a board and train facility and his trainer could not have been more impressed with him! He learns so quickly and is eager to please!

Pete plays well with other dogs but is very high energy and needs friends that can match that. He has done well with cats but does his best when he is able to get all of his energy out. He knows "sit" "stay" "down" as well as quick recall. Pete loves kids but due to his energy level he would do best with older kids or restrictions with younger kids.
