RENO's Story
Reno was found as a stray by a former adopter of ours who took him home and took him to the vet when he was not claimed. They discovered he had heartworms and a mass cell tumor on his leg and were committed to getting him healthy and keeping him forever. However, they quickly learned that although he was absolutely wonderful with their dogs and children, he had a prey drive that wouldn't allow him to leave the cat alone. As heartbreaking as this was for them because they loved him, they wanted everyone to be safe and opted to turn Reno over to us here at Mercy.

Reno has been a dream to have. He's obedient, loyal, sweet, affectionate, and very well trained. He loves his kennel, he doesn't bark unless he wants to go out or wants food, he is potty trained and has ZERO behavioral issues. We have yet to meet a person or animal that he doesn't like. Reno has had his tumor removed and hasn't had any more problems with that coming back (its been 6 months) He also underwent heartworm treatment, was neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and is current on all his preventions.

This poor man lays in his kennel every single day patiently waiting for someone to choose him, and it just hasn't happened. I have a serious soft spot for older dogs, and i'd hate to see him live in a kennel for the rest of his life when he is such an adoptable and amazing dog. Right now he's located in Tulsa, OK but can be adopted anywhere in the United States. His adoption fee is $`100. if you'd like to meet him, please go to mercysakes2ndchancerescue.com to submit an adoption application and we will schedule a meet and greet with him!
___________________________________________________________________________________
Donate to Renos ongoing care via any of the following platforms!
paypal.me/mercysakes (email mercysakes2ndchancedogs@gmail.com)
cashapp $mercysakesrescue (sasha smith - founder)
venmo @mercysakesrescue (sasha smith - last four-4545)
direct to our vet (catoosa small animal hospital on mercy sakes account) 918-266-4090
via mail to mercy sakes 1219 S Memorial Drive Tulsa OK 74112
