Renny's Story

DOB: 2/11/2025

Renny is ready to trade his Georgia roots for a backyard, a hiking trail, and a human sidekick of his very own. This handsome black and brown youngster approaches life like every day is the start of a new expedition — whether that means splashing through puddles, investigating every leaf on the trail, or supervising your weekend adventures with expert-level enthusiasm.

He’s the kind of pup who figures things out before you even finish asking, especially if snacks or praise are involved. Puzzle toys? He’s on it. Learning new tricks? Already ahead of schedule. After a day of exploring the great outdoors, Renny is more than happy to transform into a four-legged weighted blanket who believes personal space is highly overrated.

If your idea of a perfect companion includes muddy paws, loyal company on the trails, and a dog who keeps both your heart and your brain entertained, Renny may already have his bags packed!

Renny was recently in foster, and this is what his foster had to say about how he was in her home:

"Renny is a sweet, smart, and active boy! He is so loving, and seems to have a fun blend of hound and water-dog personality. He likes to hike, sniff, play fetch, and dive head first into any stream. Then he'll ask for a little hug break or just lay right on top of you for a nap on the couch.

We've met lots of new people and dogs while out hiking, and he greets everyone with curiosity and a wagging tail. He would be great with a dog-sibling about his size or even bigger, as he loves to wrestle and chase. He is still young and likes a little mischief, but Renny is an impressive listener, super food motivated, and eager to please. We've practiced lots of basic commands in a short time and he's such a fast learner, so it's clear he can do much more. Renny is also housetrained and sleeps happily in his crate at night. Just be prepared to start the day with a snuggle!"

The Adoption Fee is $400, which includes all age-appropriate vaccines, spay/neuter, and FELV/FIV testing. Microchip transfer is an additional fee.

**For more information regarding ROAR’s adoption policies and procedures, please visit our website at roar-ridgefield.org and select the ‘adopt’ tab on the home page.
