Rengo spent the first 4.5 years of his life as a breeding dog, living in a kennel with very little socialization. Because of this, he’s naturally a very timid and sensitive boy who’s still learning that the world doesn’t have to be a scary place. Loud noises, sudden movements, and unfamiliar people can make Ringo anxious, so he’ll need a quiet, patient home where he can continue to come out of his shell at his own pace. He isn’t a fan of being hovered over or scooped up suddenly—he much prefers when people get down to his level and let him approach on his own terms. While Rengo has never bitten, he may get snappy if he feels cornered or overwhelmed. He would do best in a calm, adult-only home, ideally with no more than one or two gentle canine companions (though he’d be fine as your one and only, too).
