Remy the Pitlet's Story

Meet Remy. Remy was brought to the Brooklyn NY shelter as a stray. She was practically hairless, her skin was raw, and her knees hurt.

Since that day, Remy looks and feels like a new girl! She's had surgery to help fix her knees, and is on special food to keep her allergies at bay.

Now Remy needs a home, but a special one where she can thrive. She has done best in the quiet of the suburbs or country, as like many of us, she struggles in busy environments. Remy also needs slow introductions to new friends. It doesn't usually take long for her to be belly up on your lap, but slow is best so she can call you a lifelong friend. Due to some arousal behaviors, Remy will need an adult home, and would be best as an only pet (though she is fostered with management with other dogs, we think everyone would be happiest if she was solo).

This may sound like a tall order, and we know that's not for everyone. But we believe there is someone perfect out there for our little girl. Someone with a lap and couch that needs a little piglet on it. Remy is a sensitive soul, but she is also the love of someone's life. If you have the heart for a special girl with some extra needs and a wholelot of love, then email readyforescue@gmail.com to learn more.
