Remy's Story
PLEASE DON'T CONTACT MASSPAWS

Just like all Boxers, Remy has a face that’s impossible to resist!

This sweet 6-year-old, 50-pound male is located in North Andover, MA. He loves playing with toys and keeps himself busy with the chew variety. Remy also enjoys walking and currently gets about a 30-minute walk each day. He also takes naptime seriously, and takes lounging to a whole new level.

Having a calm disposition, Remy is a delight for the people he currently lives with. He also gets along very well with resident dogs which are both male. Remy does need time to get to know new people and new dogs. He gets anxious when strangers get too close to him and his loved ones.

He is currently training to transfer some of that calm inner spirit to situations that make him uncomfortable. He is being introduced to new people while out on walks, starting at a distance and gradually getting closer. Remy is also building confidence through increased enrichment. He’s using a mind-body approach to good health.

Wondering why such a nice dog needs a new home? Plainly put, his owner abandoned him. Fortunately, a very empathetic person realized Remy would not do well in a shelter environment. She and her family are taking care of him until he finds a good home. However, with a move coming up, they can care for him only until Dec 1. Ideally we’d like to see him settled into his new home well before the holidays begin.

This is a home-to-home adoption with guidance from a rescue that stresses safe and responsible rehoming. To make Remy’s and his new family’s transition as successful as possible, it is best to have at least a few meet and greets.

Experienced large dog adopters willing to keep up with his skills, older dog-savvy kids, and a compatible dog. No cats.

Please contact emsteinberg19@gmail.com for more information and tell her Animal Rescue Konnection sent you!
