New people, new surroundings, and lots of changes can be overwhelming! But it did not take long for this sweet boy to start coming out of his shell. Apparently, all it took was a pup cup to convince him that people might not be so bad after all!

And let me tell you, once Rem decides you are his person, he wants to be right there with you!

Remington is currently fostered with five other dogs and has done wonderfully with his new furry friends. He was a little timid at first, but he’s settling in beautifully. He has also been introduced to cats and has shown curiosity, although he’s still figuring them out.

This boy is the perfect combination of playful and affectionate! He has some energy, loves being around his people, and is just as happy curling up on the couch with his doggie friends for a good nap. In fact, his foster dad recently found him snoozing away on the office couch with two of his furry buddies. Talk about making yourself at home!

And Rem is not just handsome, he is smart, too!

He is crate trained, keeps his kennel clean, and is very well behaved when loose in the house with his foster doggie friends. He already knows sit, down, and shake, and he is working on stay. He is eager to learn and does great with a little consistency and encouragement. Rem also loves riding in the truck! Just open the door, and he is ready to hop in and go on an adventure. He even did wonderfully at the vet, showing off his sweet manners despite being a little shy!

One thing we have learned about Rem is that he REALLY loves his people. He may bark for a little while when kenneled, but it is simply because he would much rather be hanging out with his humans! He is happiest when he’s included in everyday family life.

When he is excited to see his foster dad, he sometimes gets a little mouthy and playfully nibbles at clothes or fingers (and occasionally a booty!). His foster family is working on teaching him better ways to show his excitement, and he is making progress. He will benefit from a family willing to continue that consistent, positive training.

Remington is a sweet, happy, loving boy who just needed a little time to realize he was safe. Watching him gain confidence, make friends, and discover the joys of being loved has been such a wonderful thing.

Rem deserves a forever family who will give him patience, consistency, lots of love, and a permanent spot right beside them. He is not looking for much—just people to call his own, some furry friends, a comfy couch, and maybe an occasional pup cup!

This handsome chocolate boy has so much love waiting for his forever family. Could that be you?

QUESTIONS: For additional information about Remington #11 please email Deb Cook
Keavy: deb.cook.keavy@labs4rescue.org

BEFORE YOU APPLY: Please review our "Adopt a Lab" page (labs4rescue.com/adopt) and our Sample Adoption Contract.
