Remi's Story

Remi is a spunky little cuddle bug who's ready to take charge of any situation. She loves all kinds of toys - even her makeshift creations - but right now her favorites are the toy box itself and the water bowl (yes, even when it's full!). Her favorite hangout spots include hiding under the bed, relaxing beneath the computer, or curling up in the curve of your neck. She's the cutest little sour patch kid with the most adorable wiggle butt. And when you tell her "no," she gives you that irresistible, twinkly-eyed look that makes it nearly impossible not to give in. We believe Remi is a Pit Bull/Rottie mix, but her foster family thinks she may actually be a Pit Bull/Chow mix. What we know for sure? She is 100% good dog! Remi currently lives with another dog and a cat and gets along great with both of them. She is microchipped, spayed, and up to date on all age-appropriate vaccines. Save Monroe Strays's Adoption Policy

Thank you for your interest in adopting from us! We are an all volunteer, 501c3 animal rescue in southeast Michigan. Our mission is to place all of our animals in loving, permanent homes. You are not purchasing a pet from us; you are adopting a living, breathing, creature that deserves safety, love and care. Your answers on the application are assurance to us that the animals we care for are going to good, permanent homes. All of the information on the application is confidential. Feline adoption fees - $125 for kittens under 8 months, $100 if over 8 months, and $60 if over 9 years old. Canine adoption fees - $350 for puppies under 1 year, $300 if over 1 year, and $200 if over 7 years old. Foster-to-adopt and Adoption fees are non-refundable. We do not use a first-come, first-serve process when adopting out our animals. Instead, we focus on best fit for each individual animal. The process is intended to ensure a long-term successful adoption for both the family and pet. Dogs can live 10-15 years, and cats can live 15-20 years, so please make sure your lifestyle allows the time, patience, and ability to cover expenses your new pet will need over the years. Will you be travelling frequently, moving soon, or having children? Responsible pet ownership includes as-needed and routine veterinary care, quality food, preventatives, and other supplies. You must be at least 21 years old to adopt. All of our adoptable animals have had a complete veterinarian checkup. Our dogs and puppies are heartworm tested. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, dewormed, and have received age-appropriate vaccines before going to their forever homes.
