Remi's Story

Meet Miss Remi

Remi has an unfortunate backstory. She was raised from a puppy in a county shelter where she had to watch all her siblings be adopted. When it was finally Remi's turn, it wasn't her happily ever after like she hoped for and she was returned. Why? Because Remi can be a little shy. Since she grew up in the shelter, she was a bit under socialized so interacting with strangers was scary to her. Fortunately one of our fosters advocated hard for her and we took her into our care.

Remi is around 1 1/2 years old and is quite petite. She looks to be some kind of retriever/shepherd mix but your guess is as good as ours! Remi lights up around other dogs and loves to play and goof around with her foster brother. She is also getting along well with the resident kitty. She is crate trained and walks well on a leash. Her foster has been taking her to group training classes and to public places like Home Depot to help socialize her.

Remi would do best in a home with another dog and a family that can keep helping her learn how to properly dog. She has already made huge strides and we know her true forever family is out there!

Like one of our fosters always says: The shy ones bond the hardest.

Ready to start forging that bond with our resilient Remi?
