Reina Paragould - LOCAL's Story

Reina is a petite, sweet girl whose playful personality truly shines when she's with other dogs. While Reina thinks humans are cool, her #1 wish in her wishlist is for one or more forever fur siblings that will play and cuddle for the rest of her days!

Reina is a gentle, goofy soul who thrives in the company of confident canine companions and must have at least one other friendly, confident dog in her forever home. Currently her best friends include a 130lb Swiss mountain dog, a 20 lb chiweenie, and a 15lb senior dachshund and adjusts her play style accordingly.

Once used as target practice in the south, it took Reina some time to trust humans but hear us when we say earning her trust is beyond worth it! Today she excitedly greets her foster humans with booty wiggles, spins, and soft "awooos." She isn't much of a cuddler (yet) but she loves, more like demands, booty scritches and chase with the humans. While she may not snuggle up to humans yet, she loves a good snooze with her foster dog siblings.

Once afraid of going outside, the backyard is now her favorite place to be! She absolutely comes alive -- running, playing, and showing off her silly side with the cutest zoomies.

Reina has made incredible progress and grows braver every day. She is house trained, crate trained (but is non-destructive when left alone), and good with dogs of all sizes with proper intros.
While she's still not comfortable walking on leash yet, with patience, love, and continued training it's possible she could one day. For this reason, a fenced in yard is a requirement.

She would do best in a calm, supportive home that will continue building her confidence while letting her playful side flourish.

Reina is ready to find a family who will celebrate her joyful spirit and help her keep discovering how fun life can be. So if you have a soft spot for the shy dogs, at least one other happy-go-lucky dog-loving pup, and a fenced yard apply for Reina today!

Check out some videos of this sweet, sweet soul:
https://youtube.com/shorts/McXV0ck9mo0?si=Hsl2gnKujVWnRQej
https://youtube.com/shorts/oko9hxdG0ag?feature=share
https://youtube.com/shorts/8cOZo6NqvIc?feature=shared
https://youtube.com/shorts/gRjZeDnKnjE?si=RMCzZi2630ZP1Qk2

Name: Reina Paragould
Breed: Shepherd/ Lab Mix
Sex: Female
Age: 2 years (estimated)
Weight: 27 pounds
Spayed/Neutered: Yes
Vaccinations: Up to date
Heartworm: Negative on recent testing.
Microchipped: Yes

BASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:
Good with Children: Unknown
Good with Dogs: Yes - must have in her home - happy, confident dog.
Good with Cats: Unknown

Adoption Fee: $350.00

Location of dog currently: New England

IMPORTANT INFORMATION -

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue.
