What is Ohio Shorthair Rescue, Inc.’s adoption process?

CLICK HERE for our ADOPTION APPLICATION >> www.ohioshorthairrescue.org. Potential adopters must be approved through our screening process before a placement is made. The first step in the process is to complete the adoption application. Once we receive an application, a volunteer will be in contact with the applicant within 48 hours. We take a variety of things into consideration when placing a dog: previous GSP experience, activity level, work schedule, planned activities with the dog, etc. Our main concern in any placement is finding the best home for each dog’s individual needs. After the adoption, we are committed to supporting each adopter and dog. Adopters are encouraged to keep in contact with us. We love to receive updates and photos of dogs we have adopted out.
