Reginald 1 year old, neutered male Rotti/Lab mix Hello, my name is Reginald but my friends call me Reggie and I am a very good boy! I am a very sweet gentleman with a lot of love to give. I am very much still a puppy when I play and am super athletic. I enjoy going on walks and chewing sticks and toys. Stuffies are my favourite. I am very affectionate and love getting belly rubs and scratches behind the ears. Foster mom trys to remind me I'm a little bit big for a lap dog. I have no problem letting my silly, playful side out when it's time to play. I am very loyal and will stick by your side. I am a goofy guy that always makes my people smile. I know my basic commands and am house trained. I have been working very hard on my leash manners. I'm a big strong boy and sometimes I forget and pull. I love people and I get super excited and overwhelmed so I forget and jump. I am working super hard on redirection. I am probably best with kids over 12 or that are steady on their feet. I love going for car rides and am super quiet in the car. My favourite thing is big hikes and my foster mom says I have excellent recall, unless there are squirrels or small animals around! I do have a very high prey drive so no small animals in my new house please. I do well with other dogs if they are female or have already been neutered. And I am good with small dogs too! The adoption fee is $600 and includes spay/neuter (dogs over 6 months), vaccines, heartworm test (dogs over 6 months), deworming, Flea and tick prevention and microchip. Please visit www.paws-united.com to fill out an application. **For puppies under 6 months a $200 spay/neuter rebate will be given with proof of spay/neuter certificate signed by a vet, if they have not been done prior to adoption.** **Please note we DO NOT adopt our dogs as outdoor/farm dogs. These dogs are coming to us as stray, roaming or dogs that have lived a life tied to a chain. Our goal is to bring them in the house off the chain and give them a pampered indoor dogs lifestyle. Unless otherwise stated we will not even consider a home that has intentions of leaving our dogs outdoors or tied to a chain** ***We do require every applicant to provide a vet reference and we do follow up with your vet. If you do not currently have a vet as you have no pets, we strongly encourage you to do your research and contact vets to make sure they are accepting new patients. You must have a vet in place before bringing a new dog home. You will be required to give your vet permission to release information to us, we also require two personal references as well that will be contacted. We have policy and procedure in place while screening homes. If a family refuses any step in the process they will not qualify for adoption. We are not currently doing adoptions across the boarder.***

Paws United Dog Rescue's Adoption Policy

There is an adoption donation for every dog adopted. This is to ensure that we can continue rescuing/re-homing the dogs in need. It helps pay for food, vet bills and any other expenses that the dogs require while in foster care with Paws United Dog Rescue. Each dog goes to their new home after being vet checked and vaccinated. Any dog over the age of 6 months has also been spayed/neutered and micro-chipped. All dogs over the age of 6 months have also been heart-worm tested. All adopters will receive a medical history and be made aware of any behaviour problems and any known history from before the dog came to us.
