Reggie's Story
Reggie’s owner and best friend suddenly passed just a few weeks ago. The past four years he’s only known one owner, one other dog and one home that he rarely left, and now he’s in a new state, a new home, with a new dog and cat sibling and a whole new life. Reggie has little experience with new dogs so he doesn’t quite know how to interact yet. He and his new dog brother are not getting along. He tends to be fearful of new dogs and children just because he doesn’t have any experience meeting them, but he’s making progress. We think Reggie would be great in a home with another dog who is gentle and laid back and possibly female, and with older dog savvy children. He just needs a calm and quiet home where he can come to terms with all the turmoil that has happened in these past few months. Because other than that Reggie is a fantastic dog. He’s gentle, smart, affectionate, well mannered, and pretty much perfect.
