Reggie's Story

Reggie's pictures don't quite capture how handsome and stunning this boy truly is in person! Reggie is a BIG dog - 90 lbs and expected to maybe put some more weight on as he is still very young. He is good with other dogs, friendly with everyone and UTD on vaccinations - neuter is scheduled. He was dumped near the waterfalls here locally in Blue Island - witnesses say a car drove up - let him out and just drove away. One of our volunteers said it best, "He is very strong but kind, calm friendly, courteous and patient." <br/><br/>If you are interested in meeting me, or any of my friends at the kennels, please send an email to blueislandstrays@gmail.com<br/><br/>Adoption fee includes their spay/neuter, rabies, chip, HW, distemper & poop test.

Blue Island Stray Dog Project's Adoption Policy
We have potential adopters fill out an application (linked on PetFinder or please email Blueislandstrays@gmail.com). Once we get a potential adopters application, we process background checks, vet checks, and reference checks. We like to speak and get to know the adopter to ensure a good fit and set up the adopter and the dog for success! Once approved for adoption, we like to conduct home visits when possible, and if a potential adopter has another dog in the house, we make it mandatory for dog meets with the other dog; sometimes, more than once.
