Reese's Story

My name is Reese and I’m looking for my forever home. I’m still a puppy – I’ll be 1 y.o. in July. I came to my foster home here in Ypsilanti, MI, after recovering from Parvo virus. A really wonderful vet saved our lives and SIRA agreed to rescue all of us and raised money to pay for our vet care. Now I’m a healthy 18 lb boy – neutered and vaccinated and ready to find my forever family. My foster family says that I’m a very good boy. I get along well with other dogs. I’m respectful, sweet, playful and social. I’m even good with the cats here in my foster home – curious, but respectful and gentle. I haven’t met any human kids, but my foster dad thinks I’d be fine since I pretty much love everyone! I love to be with my foster family, snuggling and getting tummy rubs or just being held. I’ll roll over on my back and present my belly to be rubbed. And if nobody comes to pet me, I just might scream! Yeah, I’m kind-of a Velcro puppy! I’m learning how to play and I can jump really high! Foster dad says I walk well on leash. I am confident and love exploring all of the new things. My forever family will need to take measures to prevent escapes, like being very careful when opening doors or gates and keeping me double-leashed so I don’t slip my collar or harness. They’ll also have to want lots and lots of goofy love from ME! The more people to love the better. I’d love a family who has time for me, because I like lots of attention. If you live in the Midwest and want a sweet, loving, silly boy to bring some fun to your life, then I’m your guy. Visit www.savingshibas.com/adopt to learn more and to apply to become an approved SIRA adopter. The application process helps SIRA learn more about you and your home environment so they can make sure we’ll be a good match. Once approved, they’ll connect you with my foster dad so we can meet! Well, what are you waiting for?!
