Meet Reed! This sweet and gentle young man was found as a very hungry stray around 3 months old by a cattle rancher in New Mexico. He is now almost 2 years old and thriving, and has moved to Colorado to hopefully find her perfect home!<br/><br/>This sweet boy will take a few days to adjust, but is very affectionate and eager to please. Like many of us, he is happiest outside. He's had a fair bit of training in his time in foster and walks nicely on leash, rides well in the car, and has good off-leash recall. He is absolutely perfect hiking, staying close by and checking in, not interacting with other hikers or dogs, and doesn't have a strong prey drive. He even stops before he runs into your legs! He's ready to be a great Colorado adventure buddy. <br/><br/>In the house, can be a little unsettled at first but once he finds his spot he's very good. So far he doesn't seem to be a big shedder which is always a plus. If you have sensitive shins or like leaving drinks on a low coffee table, Reed is the perfect dog for you! His little nubby tail eliminates all those wagging woes and also gives him the cutest butt wiggle when he's excited! Come meet him to see it for yourself! <br/><br/>Reed will be 2 years old in June, and weighs around 55 lbs. He is fixed and up to date on shots and ready for a home of his own! He is good with other dogs and cats and has done well meeting children at adoption events, though he can be a little nervous in new environments. <br/><br/>He is currently located in Steamboat Springs, but transport is available to the front range or surrounding areas!
