Red's Story

🐾 Red’s Story

Red is a stunning young dog who was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Southern California and is now looking for his forever home. He’s approximately 2 years old, weighs about 65 lbs, and is highly intelligent with a strong desire to learn and work. Red picks up new skills quickly and does best when he has structure, purpose, and guidance.
Red can be shy when he first meets new people, but once he feels safe, his true personality comes through. He becomes deeply loyal, affectionate, and eager to connect with his person. He bonds closely with his human and truly thrives with a strong, confident leader who can provide clear direction and consistency.
He loves to play—especially chasing his ball—and needs an active lifestyle with space to run and exercise. Red is happiest when he has a “job” to do, whether that’s training, structured play, or learning new tasks. He has received training, knows his commands, and is both crate and house trained but needs work on his leash skills. Red is dog-friendly and non-reactive to cats. Best suited for an adult only household due to his strength and exuberance.
Red’s foster will happily support his adopter to ensure a smooth transition. With the right guidance and an engaged, confident human, Red will be an incredible companion and partner. 🐶❤️
If interested in meeting Red please reach out to Hope for Sweet Homes rescue at 626-483-6936 or email
hope4sweethomes@gmail.com
