Red's Story

Meet Red!
Red came into the shelter on April 27th as a surrender due to too many animals in one place.
Red is still a bit of a scaredy-cat but will let newer volunteers and people take her on walks and pet her in her play group yard. She has lived with cats and has done her best to be brave when meeting a child. She was a very patient lady! Even though she is a little scared of people, she still LOVES playing in her large playgroup with six other dogs. She always makes sure to include them in play and show them a good time.
Red is also a fantastic leash walker. She is always so well-mannered and just goes with the flow. She is also potty trained and always waits her turn to go in the yard. She likes to play with small stuffed toys and always looks forward to her peanut butter Kong in the evenings.
Our staff says that they love how happy Red gets to see the other staff and that she runs and plays like there is no tomorrow! They also love that she loves to show the other dogs how to play in the pool and snooze in an old tire.
Come meet Red today at the Alpine Animal Services Shelter, 2900 Old Marathon Hwy Alpine, TX 79830.
