Take two - they're tiny!<br/><br/>It's terrible when an owner dies, leaving behind a clearly bonded pair of tiny dogs who have no idea what has occurred and why their world has been turned upside down.<br/><br/>Both Rebel (yellow coat) and Dinky (gray and white) were huddled together in a small dog bed comforting each other and obviously very confused. Over the weeks (yes, it's actually been many weeks) they have been handling the big change -- visits to the vet, a parade of volunteers and have adjusted to the stroller that they have been placed in for rides around the grounds. Both show the very common physical signs of their age of 13 lumps and bumps, and toenails that did not receive appropriate manicures. Their have had their dentals , baths and mani-pedis. Newly vet-checked and on the path to better health and nutrition, the bonded pair still have a long life expectancy for their breed and would be nice (and happy) companions probably for another several years -- ideal for senior people. But they need to remain together.<br/><br/>Little guys like Rebel and Dinky need winter coats when it's cold and may eschew the very hottest summer weather at their age. They are using pee pads and clearly are comfortable in the security of a crate.<br/><br/>You can visit the dogs from noon - 3 pm Saturdays and Sundays, otherwise by appointment.
