Raymond's Story
Meet Raymond!

Raymond arrived at his foster home and wasted absolutely no time making himself comfortable. He is clearly a Taurus because he loves the finer things ~ fluffy beds, long, luxurious naps, and following his beloved human from room to room like a very small, very devoted shadow.

He’s been having the time of his life zooming around outside on the frozen top layer of snow, then promptly coming inside to warm up by the fireplace like a tiny gentleman who has seen winter and would now like to be cozy. He even relocates his favorite beds to wherever he wants to be at that time - usually to a sunbeam or to be closer to foster mom. Watching this happy little man redecorate until he's fully content is as adorable as it sounds.

Raymond is funny, cozy-loving, and deeply committed to snacks and companionship. While he's not a lap dog, he'll happily curl up next to you on the couch or chair for a while before heading off for some independent napping nearby. A social butterfly, Raymond loves the cats and other dogs in his foster home - especially big ones! He would do best in a home with at least one other animal, especially if he has to stay home by himself for longer periods of time - though he would prefer a family where someone is home with him much of the time. He also gets along beautifully with children.

Raymond is a smarty pants who knows sit, stay, down, AND comes when called. He walks well on the leash and enjoys going for strolls, but really loves free-range time outdoors. He would do best in a home with a fenced-in yard so he can run, play and explore at his leisure. He still loves his free-range yard time. He's not a huge fan of riding in the car, but he's fully house-trained and sleeps through the night. While he loves being with his people, he'd rather not be picked up too much. He's not aggressive - just a wiggle worm!

Raymond is a talkative little man with strong vocal cords that he doesn't hesitate to use, especially to announce when it's time to eat. We think he would do best in a single family home rather than an apartment, as the neighbors may not appreciate his periodic announcements. When he whines, he does it with such tragic flair you’d think he was auditioning for an emotionally devastating role as an offscreen owl in summer’s next blockbuster movie.

RayRay is the perfect family dog and a consummate gentleman.
