Raya's Story

** This dog is not in the direct care of Happy Tails Happy Homes - Her current owner needs to rehome her and we are assisting with that process. If you are interested in this dog, please fill out an application at https://www.happytailshappyhomes.org/adoptionform **

Raya is an 11-year-old senior Rottweiler/Retriever (Black Labrador) mix with a beautiful black and brown coat. She is a fun-loving, affectionate girl who truly believes she's a 100-lb lap dog. She's incredibly sweet and greets her people with excited howls when they come home.

Raya does wonderfully with people of all ages, including small children, and loves attention and companionship. She gets along well with most dogs, especially those who enjoy playing, but she does best when introductions are done on leash. She hasn't been around other animals besides dogs.

Raya was rescued and has a skin condition affecting her tail and one paw, as well as a chicken allergy, so she will need an owner who can continue managing her care. Due to a recent period of unemployment and now working long hours, her owner is no longer able to give her the time, attention, and care she deserves.

Raya would thrive in a home where she can get plenty of love, attention, and consistent care.
